By launching its amazing GLC, Mercedes has done just a half of the job. The second half is planned to be finished next year, when the car manufacturer release the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. This coupe-like SUV has been already introduced in concept form, and judging to the first spy photos it seems that Mercedes has no intention to change a lot on the production model. The biggest rivals of this sportier GLC will be BMW’s X4, which is actually a downsized version of the X6 SUV, as well as the Porsche Macan and eve the Range Rover Evoque.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe: Design and Features

As you can see, the concept model appears to be really fascinating, so the carmaker won’t change anything big. The stylish SUV looks aggressive and smooth at the same time, but essentially, the coupe-like SUV will closely resemble the new GLC, especially in the front end. On the other hand, the rear end will be more alike to the newest C-Class coupe. As for the dimensions, the latest information we have say that the carmaker won’t change concept’s 186.2 inches in length, 78.7 inches in width and 111.4 inches in wheelbase. The use of aluminum, high- and ultra-high strength steel will make this classy crossover coupe light and rigid, while the interior design could be very similar to the C-Class, just a little bit sexier and luxurious. The waterfall-style dashboard design and its 7.0-inch infotainment screen is expected, while the list its probable features include a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof,  a 360-degree parking camera, radar cruise control, a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats, as well as much more useful things.

2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe: Engines and Price

The engine department will offer two options for the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. One is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that will be capable to produce 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, while the better option should be a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 that delivers 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft. This powerful option will also include an amazing a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system and a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will be a handsome coupe-like SUV with the powerful engines and pretty interesting features, so you can expect a little bit higher price in comparison with the GLC. The rumors say that the car should cost around $45,000 and that will be introduced at the next Detroit Auto Show in January.
