2018 Suzuki Vitara Gets Refreshed Styling and New Active Safety System

Believe it or no, Suzuki’s best-selling nameplate will receive a number of changes inside and out. The fourth-generation Vitara came just two years ago, but it seems that the carmaker has something new in mind. The testing model we see is partly camouflaged only, but it hosts a number of useful improvements that will make the 2018 Suzuki Vitara a far more better from today’s model.

The exterior changes are cosmetic only, so don’t expect anything big or revolutionary. No, the carmaker plans to update ends only. In the front, the 2018 Vitara will get an all-new grille. In place of the current grille that employs horizontal slats, the refreshed crossover will sport the handsome mesh styling. The honeycomb front is the only change we see here, yet there is plenty of time for more updates and we believe that the producer prepares something else. The mid-cycle facelift will probably bring a different headlight and taillight styling, as well as mildly updated bumpers.

The prototype also suggests that there offered will be more technologies with the 2018 Suzuki Vitara. The interesting crossover will get some active safety features. We know that because the testing model sports an integrated sensor in the front bumper.

Inside, the refreshed Vitara SUV will likely feature new upholstery and the updated infotainment with more features. The manufacturer won’t skip the chance add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without any doubt.

The red-accented headlights suggest that we are looking into the next 2018 Suzuki Vitara S, so we are pretty sure that it uses a turbocharged 1.4-liter, four-cylinder engine. The unit currently delivers 140 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, and could be paired either with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. The amazing crossover also offers a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder and an efficient 1.6-liter DDSi.

The refreshed Suzuki Vitara will be introduced in early 2018. However, no matter how big these changes are, the crossover will likely keep the current price.
