2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Spied Without Its Snorkel

The amazing 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison has been unveiled earlier this year, so the prototype we’ve managed to catch today isn’t something you did not have a chance to see so far. This time, however, the impressive off-road model is missing its snorkel, which means that the feature is going to arrive as an option only.

With or without the snorkel, the 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison is definitely an ultimate off-road pickup truck. The Bison looks notably more attractive and aggressive when it’s compared to the Colorado ZR2 thanks to the larger fender flares. Up front, the truck hosts its own grille and an AEV-designed stamped steel front bumper, while the rear bumper comes with integrated tow hooks. Underneath, the model gets special, durable, and hot-stamped boron-steel skid plates.

The mid-size pickup truck hosts really respectable off-road features such as two-inch suspension lift and special underpinnings with front and back locking differentials. The Bison is paired with 17-inch wheels and 31-inch off-road tires. The wheels are additionally supported by Multimatic DDSV dampers.

The 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison will be offered with two interesting options under the hood. A 2.8L four-cylinder Duramax turbo-diesel engine comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and delivers 186 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V-6 is a standard option, though, and makes 306 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of grunt. Still, the mill is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

According to the manufacturer, the 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison will go on sale in January. They haven’t released any pricing information so far but taking into account that the ZR2 model starts at $43,495, the Bison version of the truck will cost at least $46K.
