2021 Buick Envoy All-New Three-Row Crossover Spied

Even though some earlier reports suggested that Buick started working on all-new crossover SUV, we had no physical evidence so far. That changed today though, as the still-unnamed vehicle has been spied testing for the first time. According to our insiders, the automaker will reportedly call the new three-row model the 2021 Buick Envoy. The information hasn’t been officially confirmed so far, but the name seems to be promising, since this way, Buick can continue with its “En” lettering for crossovers.

Buick Enspire all-electric concept SUV

So far, we know that there’s going to be the rows of seats inside of the SUV. The new model, however, will be notably smaller from the Enclave. Moreover, the 2021 Envoy is here to fill the gap between the biggest Enclave and Envision.

As for the camouflaged prototype, it’s quite clear that the official debut of the 2021 Buick Envoy can’t be too far away. That’s due to the thin coverings that hide practically nothing. The testing model shows the production-ready and quite slim headlights and taillights, as well as the company’s distinctive grille. Profile of the SUV reveals an attractive design with a slight slope of the roof and quite angular rear end. Actually, the manufacturer’s upcoming crossover gets a familiar shape which has been previewed with last year’s Enspire concept. Meaning, you can expect a quite impressive and handsome model from Buick.

The 2021 Buick Envoy will share underpinnings with GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT6. More precisely, the future three-row crossover will ride on General Motors C1XX platform – the mid-length version of the architecture. This also means that we can expect a model not longer than 200 inches. Of course, the automaker will add several interesting options under the hood. The crossover will most probably start with a turbo-four and finish with a 310-hp naturally-aspirated V6. Originally, both mills will power front-wheel drive, but the carmaker will not skip the chance to offer a more expensive all-wheel-drive Envoy.

More info about Buick’s all-new three-row SUV is coming soon so stay tuned for updates.
