2021 Bentley Bentayga Facelift Spied Testing

Don’t get surprised by these spy shots. The luxury SUV came all-new almost four years ago, so it’s about time to receive a mid-cycle update. Plus, Mercedes introduced a damn-good Maybach GLS, so it seems it’s a perfect moment for the updated and better 2021 Bentley Bentayga. At first glance, the mighty SUV sports just a few cosmetic changes here and there, but there’s actually more:

The automaker took the best from the Flying Spur for its hot SUV. More precisely, the 2021 Bentayga sports exactly the same Crystal Star Matrix LED headlights. The new model appears to feature a new front bumper and a revised grille, while the rear end reveals slimmer and Continental GT-inspired taillamps. The British car manufacturer has decided not to mess with the overall shape of the car, so don’t expect any essential changes from the outside. Instead, in addition to the aforementioned changes, the car will probably get a few new color options.

The main show will happen inside of the SUV. Judging by the latest reports, the 2021 Bentley Bentayga will feature new infotainment for sure. That’s a safe bet because the current model relies on VW’s old multimedia, so it has to be changed with the new one. Plus, the carmaker might eventually give a try with a fully digital instrument cluster. Of course, they will not miss the opportunity to couple the model with revised trim and upholstery and updated of driver assistance systems.

The current model offers a range of engines without any doubt. Potential buyers are able to choose between the usual and Speed version of W12. There is also the V8, a V8 diesel in Europe and a plug-in V6, so there’s no space left for anything new, right? Wrong! As far as we’ve heard, the 2021 Bentley Bentayga will come paired with a V8 hybrid too. This one currently powers the Cayenne Turbo S, so we know practically everything about it.

The facelifted SUV will be ready to make its debut in the coming year, most probably next spring at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
