2021 Jeep Wagoneer Spy Shots

Jeep is working on a pair of three-row flagships without any doubt. After several testing mules and almost five years of constant rumors, we’ve got the very first spy shots of the prototypes. More precisely, this one is a smaller 2021 Jeep Wagoneer. Truth to be told, the spy photos don’t show much. The three-row SUV is hiding under thick black, so the actual design isn’t obvious. So far, it’s clear that the SUV has a boxy shape, and that’s pretty much everything we see.  There are no spy photos of the interior at the moment. Still, we are pretty sure it is going to mirror the inside of the new Ram 1500.

The cabin won’t be the only thing borrowed from the popular full-size truck. As far as we’ve heard, the 2021 Wagoneer will feature identical powertrain too. Potential buyers will be able to choose between the familiar 3.6-liter V6 and the V6 coupled with a Ram’s 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Plus, the 5.7-liter V8 should also be in the cards.

Of course, the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer and the more upscale Grand Wagoneer will share underpinnings with the Ram 15000. This relatively unsophisticated ladder frame bones will adopt a development of the truck’s multi-link rear suspension that comes with the option of air springs, so don’t you worry about comfort – this Woody will be amazing without any doubt.

The company decided to make both Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in order to cover the entire full-size SUV market. Meaning, the 2021 Jeep Wagoneer will go against the Ford Expedition and GMC Yukon, while the Grand model is should try to compete with the Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, and Land Rover Range Rover.

Both models will be introduced early next year at the 2020 Detroit Auto Show.
