2019 Suzuki Vitara Spied Facelifted

We just spotted a prototype of what appears to be the facelifted Vitara. Suzuki’s SUV went to Scandinavia to check how it’s doing on snow before it arrives on the market. The vehicle will reportedly arrive later this year, most likely after summer.

Styling Changes

Judging by the spy shots, the 2019 Suzuki Vitara will get just a few changes at its ends. Up front, the crossover seems to feature an updated bumper and likely a slightly tweaked grille. Headlights will, on the other hand, stay untouched for now. Though, this doesn’t mean that the Japanese car manufacturer won’t get redesigned lights when the production model arrives. Around back the refreshed Vitara is going to host just an updated rear bumper and nothing else.

Better Safety

Inside, the 2019 Vitara will look pretty much the same as today’s model. The only styling tweaks will happen on the dashboard and seats, which will probably get new covers. According to the latest reports, the SUV will get an updated list of safety features. Still, we have no closer information about that at the moment.

One New Engine

Under the hood, Suzuki’s high-riding vehicle is going to keep pretty much the same options. The carmaker might replace the existing 1.6-liter petrol unit with a new turbocharged 1.0-liter BoosterJet. On the other hand, the topping turbocharged 1.4-liter BoosterJet engine will stay untouched for sure. The unit is pretty new, so there is no reason to change anything. The Japanese producer will continue to offer the Vitara Diesel. The oil-burner will rely on a 1.6-liter diesel.

As it’s going to make its debut after summer, the refreshed 2019 Suzuki Vitara will probably hit the dealerships late this year.
