2018 GMC Yukon Will Come Refreshed in 2017

GMC’s Yukon full-size SUV is about to receive a few changes for this year model. The car manufacturer will likely add the same updates as Chevrolet did with the Suburban and Tahoe models, so don’t expect anything big, but some small changes inside and a mild refresh of the exterior styling. In addition, the 2018 GMC Yukon will also get certain reworks on the drivetrain, so the interesting SUV might improve its fuel economy numbers too.

2018 GMC Yukon: Changes and Updates

The facelifted model will add more interesting details to the exterior styling, so you can expect some small revisions of the grille and bumper in the front. The headlights might get a little bit different graphics, so the handsome SUV could become even more attractive. Around back, the 2018 GMC Yukon should sport a redesigned taillamp styling and new bumper, yet we also expect the new exhaust pipe design. The overall bodywork won’t be changed at all, yet the new color options might bring a new glow to the amazing SUV. Don’t expect anything big inside. The car manufacturer will likely add more standard equipment, maybe the new upholstery and nothing else. Still, we are fine with the current interior styling which already seems quite upscale, so we wouldn’t mind to see it without any modifications.

Same Engines and Better Transmission

Under the hood, the 2018 Yukon SUV will keep the current options. However, in place of the existing 6-speed automatic transmission, the car manufacturer will place a new eight-speed auto gearbox, which should bring better MPGs. As for the engines, the SUV will use a 5.3-liter V-8 engine with 355 horsepower, while the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali continues with its powerful 6.2-liter V8 that delivers 420 HP. There will be either rear- or optional four-wheel drive.

Price and Arrival

The refreshed 2018 Yukon will arrive sometime in 2017, with the starting price that could go up for $500 to $1,000. On the other hand, the Denali model will come sometime later.
