2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Spied and Detailed

The newest car segment may be ridiculous, but it’s becoming very popular and grows pretty fast. Judging by the spy shots we got, there is one more crossover-coupe in the works. This time, we spied a prototype of what appears to be the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe. The coupe-like version of Porsche’s SUV will likely come along with the regular model, so you can expect to see this all-new vehicle sometime in 2018.

2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe: Engines and Platform

According to information we got, the 2019 Cayenne Coupe will borrow both, the platform and drivetrain from its regular sibling. The MLB SUV architecture involves plenty of aluminum and carbon fiber, so the future crossover-coupe should be ultra-light and very rigid. In addition, the underpinning will allow a big number of engine options, so you will be able to choose between at least three options. The base model will use a 3.0-liter V6 mill, which is estimated to deliver around 400 hp. In case you need more power, the carmaker will likely offer the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe with twin-turbo, 4.8-liter V-8, which will produce around 600 horsepower.  Some markets will get the oil-burner model with the new twin-turbo V-6, while the carmaker might come up with a hybrid powertrain too. This system will use a 3.0-liter V-6 and electric motor that will deliver 410 horsepower in total.

Styling and Price

As for the styling, we can say it will look like this at all. This is just an early test mule, so there will be some surprises for sure. If you ask us, we think that the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe is going to be much alike to the regular next-generation Cayenne, especially in the front. The carmaker will likely change the roof and rear hatch, so the vehicle might look more dynamic.

The regular and coupe-like Cayenne will be essentially the same vehicle. The only thing is different will be the exterior styling and price. Yes, while the regular model could start from $65K, the base 2019 Porsche Cayenne Coupe will cost around $70,000.
