Judging by our insider, the changes for the 2019 Colorado will be mostly cosmetic. The exterior will feature a few new design cues. The tweaks will be most evident in the front section, where the pickup truck should host the new grille and headlights. In the rear, the carmaker might introduce redesigned tailgate and taillights, but nothing else. Most of the new details should be borrowed exactly from the bigger Silverado.

The interior will also host a few new details. The producer might come up with updated technologies and new upholstery, as well as with a few new color options. Speaking of the colors, we should see new pains for the exterior as well. Some reports announced the arrival of the new top trim level and available sunroof, but we are not so sure about that.

Under the hood, the refreshed 2019 Chevy Colorado may easily get a new option. However, the carmaker has no intention to cancel any of existing mills, so you can expect four totally different options. As for the all-new unit, it’s actually a turbocharged four-cylinder, which is rumored to produce 272 hp and 295 pound-feet of torque.

Some of the today’s engine might host a few changes. More precisely, a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel inline-four should be additionally improved and more efficient. As for the other two, they will probably come completely unchanged. The pickup truck will, on the other hand, feature one more gearbox. The manufacturer will reportedly add the all-new 10-speed. Though, the existing eight-speed transmission will stay standard.

There is no pricing information yet. However, the refreshed 2019 Colorado truck will get a slightly “refreshed” price as well. Still, don’t expect anything more from $21,500 for the base model.
